A letter from Heaven

To my dearest family, some things I have to say.
But first of all, to let you know, I arrived ok.
I'm writing this from heaven, where I dwell with God above,
Where there's no more tears or sadness, there's just eternal love.

Please don't be unhappy, just because I'm out of sight,
Remember that I'm with you, each morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me, and he said I welcome you.

It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone,
As for your dearest family...They will be here later on.
I need you here so badly, as part of my big plan
There's so much we have to do, to help our mortal man.

Then God gave me a list of things, He wished for me to do.
And foremost on that list of mine, is to watch and care for you.
And I will be beside you, every day, and week and year.
And when your sad I'm standing there, to wipe away the tear.

And when you lie in bed at night, the days chores put to flight,
God and I are close to you, in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years.
Because your only human, they are bound to bring you tears.

But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain.
There would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you, of all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.

But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o're.
I'm closer to you now, then I ever was before.
And to my very many friends, trust god knows what is best.
I'm still not far away from you, I'm just beyond the crest.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you, and many hills to climb.
But together we can do it, taking one day at a time.
It's always my philosophy, and I'd like it for you too.
That as you give unto the world, so the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody, who's in sorrow or in pain,
Then you can say to God at night, my day was not in vain.
And now I am contented, that my life is was worthwhile,
Knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody, who is down and feeling low,
Just lend a hand to pick him up, and on your way you go.
When you are walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind.
I'm walking in your footsteps, only half a step behind.

And you feel that gentle breeze, or the wind upon your face.
That's me giving you a great big hug, or just a soft embrace.
And when it's time for you to go, from that body to be free,
Remember you not going, your coming here to me.

And I will always love you, from that land way up above,
We'll be in touch soon, P.S. God sends his love.

William Travis Munn
His patch is made from a pair of his favorite jeans and one of his white tee shirts. I embroidered the names
of our family to signify that we will always be bound together. The butterfly is a symbol of the Resurrection;
it denotes the new life that is ours in Christ, and the promise we hold dear that we will again see Travis.
The heart represents our love for Travis, a love that will live forever in our hearts. Travis was unique and special.
He will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit, his unabashed love for his car, music and for his friends.
His generosity and loyalty toward others showed in all he did, even extended to people he never knew --
through his "Gift of Life".

Travis through the years...

The mention of my child's name
May bring tears to my eyes,
But it never fails to bring
Music to my ears.
If you are really my friend,
Please, don't keep me
From hearing the beautiful music.
It soothes my broken heart
And fills my soul with love.

Are we friends or are we not?
You told me once, but I forgot.

So tell me now and tell me true
So I can say I am here for you.

Of all the friends I've ever met,
You're the one I won't forget.

We have been boys for a really long while,
And now I wish I could see you smile.

All the times, good or bad
That just makes this more sad.

But I know in my heart if you were here,
You wouldn't expect the end was so near.

As I stand here with your family and friends,
I realize now what your life really meant.

I hear time and time again, be strong,
This will never happen again.
But the fact is you never know,
When your best friend is going to go.

They say you will not come again,
But I shall always hear
Your voice in silence and in song,
And feel you ever near.

They say you have passed beyond,
Unto the joy supreme.
But I can always call you back
Into the land of dream.

For death is but a gateway
To the great reality,
A new beginning, not an end
Of human destiny.

For love is all, and life goes on
In spite of grief and pain,
And deep within my heart I know
That we shall meet again.

With Love For Travis
Ann, Laurasmom

Dear Travis

A lovely gesture your Mom has done on your site. A patch made of your jeans and T shirt,
with names on it that love you dearly.
You loved music, if you see my ANGEL Lee, he will talk to you for hours about music he was crazy about all different kinds.
And you loved your cars too, if you are driving your sports car,
Lee would love to take a ride with you, a sports car, I wouldn't say no to that either.

Dearest Jeanne

Your ANGEL Travis
Will always be near
You will always remember
The good times
Of him always being so dear

He has not wandered too far
He is just beyond the crest
We must believe Jeanne
GOD only takes the best
