Don't Stop Performed by Fleetwood Mac
If you wake up and don't want to smile
If it takes just a little while
Open your eyes and look at the day
You'll see things in a different way
Don't stop thinking about tomorrow
Don't stop, it'll soon be here
It'll be better than before
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone
Why not think about times to come
And not about the things that you've done
If your life was bad to you
Just think what tomorrow will do
Don't stop thinking about tomorrow
Don't stop, it'll soon be here
It'll be better than before
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone
All I want is to see you smile
If it takes just a little while
I know inside that it's very true
all the love in the world is meant for you
Don't stop thinking about tomorrow
Don't stop, it'll soon be here
It'll be better than before
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone
Don't you look back
Don't you look back

Tom, the words to this song remind us that the future is bright, that you are with us in spirit and that one day there will be no more tears and sadness.
We love you more than all the stars in the sky! Love, Mom, Dad, Patrick and Candice

To Thomas
Thank you for sharing these nine years with us
for your laughter, sense of humor and sense of fun
for your being a peace maker, and a courageous boy
for appreciating each little joy along the way
We'll never know why your life had to be so short
but while you were here
your brought sunshine and gentleness and joy
you gave lots of warm hugs and understanding
A deep void is here in our lives
A place that only your heart could ever fill
perhaps you're still here, only invisible
ever-present, with your loving grin
and sparkling eyes still bringing smiles
and comfort to your cherished family and friends
We love and miss you Thomas and hope you know
that we send you love every minute
of every day and night since you had to go.
Your loving family... Mom, Dad, Patrick and Candice

Tom really enjoyed playing computer and video games. He was fascinated by the computer, since he was 2 or 3 years old! One special video game that Tom was playing with his brother, Patrick, even on the day he suddenly died, was Zelda, Ocarina of Time. Thomas has the image of a computer etched on the headstone of his grave. Tom died at the age of 9, after finishing grade 3.

Thomas was a bright and eager learner, with a great imagination. He started reading when he was still 2 years old! Tom loved Sonic the Hedgehog, Zelda video games, and Pokemon cards. He loved the humor of Garfield books; he would read them at night before bed to fall asleep. He loved Charlie Brown and Snoopy videos. He was an innocent, loving boy to us, his parents and to his brother, Patrick and his sister, Candice.

Thomas loved riding his bike, completing a computer game, reading, ice-skating, swimming, and going to Maine to visit his grandparents. (We live in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.) Thomas was friendly to everyone at school, and was loved by teachers, principals and students alike. He had the endearing qualities of enthusiasm, empathy, joy of learning, innocence, and a wonderful sense of humor.

Thomas suffered from anaphylactic food allergies and asthma since he was a baby. On the evening of August 7, on a beautiful summer night, Thomas had a sudden, acute, irreversible asthma attack. Despite all emergency help and medication he died that night, to our deep grief and despair. It is called "sudden asthma death" and is rare, but happened to our beautiful son. He was greeted by Jesus and the angels and is now enjoying the bliss, eternal love and joy of heaven. We miss his beautiful brown eyes, his loving smile, his thoughtful ways and his irreplaceable presence in our life. We send him all our love and want him to know how very much we miss him in our lives.

An Angel
I remember when Thomas was born
An angel was brought to us that day,
You could tell by his actions
And the words he chose to say.
He always cheered you up
Whenever you felt down,
And you got this instant smile
Every time he was around.
God was running short of Angels
And just could not get by,
Thomas was the Angel he needed
and with his wings he soared into the sky.
Even though he is not with us physically
His soul is not very far,
Whenever we want to see him
We just have to look up at the brightest shining star.
Thomas never left anyone out
He always had enough love to share,
And he wants us to know he is safe
In the arms of God up there.
Love, Amanda (Thomas' cousin)

Dear Tom
I love you and hope you're having a good time in heaven.
I miss you so much and love all the memories we have together.
love,
Candice

Dear Thomas
I hope you have a good time wherever you are,
now that you've turned into a bright star.
I hope that we can meet again,
but until then I love you old friend.
Love, Patrick

The song playing on here, His Banner Over Me Is Love, sung by the Christian Cedarmont Kids, is very special to Thomas and his family. The song was one of Tom's favorites at the choir. They sang it with special hand motions that went along with the song. As a member of St. Thomas More school choir he loved to sing with the other children on all the special occasions. I think the first time we saw him sing it was with all the other kids in his class as they celebrated their First Communion in 2001. We have it videotaped and it is beautiful. He looked so cute and handsome in his suit!

Dear Bernadette and ANGEL Thomas
Mom, I am your ANGEL
That now lives up above
Mom I haven't left you
Every day I send you my love
I know you can't see me
And that really hurts you
But I am with you every day
So please don't feel down and blue
One day we will all be together
But you must not keep asking
Just like me I had done my time
Only GOD knows
And in HIM you must believe
I LOVE YOU, MOM!
