Little Kimberly

We'll remember you -- your face, your smile, and your heart
we held so short awhile.
Your kiss as soft as summer rain,
the years will pass but still the pain,
comes back to haunt our dreams so new.
We'll remember you.

Take the time to count our blessings when things are really rough.
Remember those who love and care for you,
when though it may not seem enough.

Your sang your songs with delight,
with your little face so full and bright.
You being so tiny, we thought we'd never part,
to you Little Kimberly we gave all our heart.

Recall the things that you did so well,
and let them soothe the pain.
Remember the times that have brought us joy,
and let them comfort the pain.

Then you went away, and our hearts went too,
we will always remember you.
Time dries our tears, there's no regret,
we know we love you and will see you again yet.

We'll remember when the clouds are gray,
and the sky seems neither friendly nor warm,
it's always dark before the dawn,
and there's a rainbow at the end of every storm.

We'll remember Kimberly -- the softness of your touch and
the beautiful laugh of yours, we loved so much.

Your pictures make us remember
how much we wanted you to stay.
This picture reminds us that we love someone
So very far away.

Poem for Today

It's been sixteen years since she's been gone
I guess time really does move on
Not without heartache and tears
And I can not erase the pain and fears
But day by day we get by
Knowing that we can look to the sky
And our little angel is close by
Life has a course sometimes no meaning
But you have to keep believing
That there is a higher purpose
And we have only scratched the surface
You must go on no matter what life holds
Every twist and turn makes you stronger
And days of happiness will get longer
Just keep those you love close to your heart
And in your thoughts and memories
You will never ever be apart

Dear Kimberly

I see your smile in the sun
I miss your laughter and the fun
I feel your touch in the wind
Yet my heart doesn't mend
The rain sometimes will bring a tear
But yet I can feel you near
I see your smile in the moon
And hope to see you again someday soon.
Love Mom (7/15/02)

Kimmy and her loving Mom.

21 years ago we were blessed with my baby sister Kimberly.
You loved to sing and dance you weren't shy, you loved to bite us which kinda hurt lol
You didn't mind being the center of attention, you loved the movie Annie and spice girls mainly because of all the singing,
we called you are little red neck cause you didn't have a care in the world.

But I guess god got jealous that I had such a talented sister like you so he wanted to keep you for his self.
So when you were only 4 years old he got you
I'm pretty sure he had good reason to take you from us so early
I just wish he gave us more time to have more sister bonding, more Barbie time,
more birthday cakes for you to blow candles out,
but he had better plans for you and now your up Their flying high watching over us and keeping us safe.

Also, for my sister's birthday that we have her head stone
how excited going to take 21 balloons out to the cemetery and let them go for her.

From Kimberly's sister Tasha

Kimmy's sister Tasha also made this gift for Kimmy's birthday!

In honor of Kimmy's 20th birthday last year, her family visited her gravesite and released balloons for her. Here are some photos from the day.

Here are pictures of Kimmy's balloon release.

These three special gifts for Angel Kimmy are from my friend Marie.
You can visit her website for her son Rob here ~ Rob Northrop's Site.

This beautiful gift for Angel Kimmy is from my friend Janet.

Kimmy finally has her headstone, and just days before the date we lost her. Thanks to all who helped through the years.

These are two beautiful and loving gifts for Angel Kimmy from my dear friend, Carol, mom to Angel Michael.

Kimmy's Poem

I miss you, I wish you, were still within my world -
To hold you, or scold you, Mommy's Precious Baby Girl -
Everyday you're on my mind,
at night you're in my dreams -
I call to you in everyone,
But you can't hear my screams -
Just one more time I wish that I could carry you to bed -
Or giggle when you get real mad and say "My neck's not red!"
Kimmy I how I love you still, with all my heart and soul -
An empty half is all I am,
You made this half a whole -
I know she's up there with you Lord,
An angel for your throne -
Though only mind a little while,
I thank you for the loan.
Written for Kimmy's mom by a friend

Kimberly and her grandma (who sadly passed away 6 months before Kimmy), on Kimmy's
first birthday. The song below is in tribute to Grandma Nancy, May 4, 1953 - August 2, 2000.
I swear she was there that day that Kimmy left us because she told me it wasn't my turn yet
and to open my eyes.

Go Rest High On That Mountain
Performed by Vince Gill

I know your life on earth was troubled
And only you could know the pain
You weren't afraid to face the devil
You were no stranger to the rain

Go rest high on that mountain
Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son

Oh how we cried that day you left us
And gathered 'round your grave to grieve
Wish I could see the angel's faces
When they hear your sweet voice sing

Go rest high on that mountain
Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son

Go rest high on that mountain
Son your work on earth is done
Go to heaven a-shoutin'
Love for the Father and the Son

On the left is Kimmy and Bubby and on the right look at how
Kimmy loves her Barbies, with Aunt Flo.

On Feb 17, 2001, I was taking 4 out of 5 of my children to do laundry. My oldest Desiree, now 11, was at a friend's house.
I also have Tasha, age 10, and Miranda is 8. My son is 5, Jimmie, but we call him Bubby. Kimmie was 4 at the time.
We had 2 nicknames for Kimberly - one was redneck, the other was little Houdini. Since she was 2,
she could get out of any car seat or seat belt you put her in. High chairs and shopping carts weren't safe either.
We eventually quit fighting to restrain her in the car, making her promise to sit.

At the time we didn't practice seat belts. The only one safe was Bubby, he was 3 and in a car seat. On this day,
we left the house, and Kimmy loved to sing in the car. We got to the stop sign on my road,
and she was up between the seats singing to me.

I stopped and told her to sit. Two more stop signs went the same way. Coming up on the third, I still have no idea
what made me look at her, but I turned and said, "Kimmy, if you don't sit down you are going to get hurt."
I turned back in time to see the stop sign and put my foot on the brake, but knew it was too late.
I had seen a vehicle quickly approaching us, and from there I am blank except for the sound and impact.

One of the last pictures of all of the kids, taken October 2000.

I opened my eyes to seeing the underneath of my car door and looking into the car at my daughter Tasha
holding Bubby's car seat up off Miranda and then alot of things going on...
And then I heard Tasha telling someone, "I can't find Kimmy."
I heard alot of walking around, and then the words I will never forget...
Over here is a baby doll. And another voice that said, "No, its a d.o.a."
They said she broke her neck at impact and never knew or felt a thing. I hope they are right.

The song below was one of Kimmy's favorite songs to sing ~

Tomorrow, from The Annie Movie Soundtrack
Music by Charles Strouse, Lyrics by Martin Charnin

The sun'll come out Tomorrow,
bet your bottom dollar that Tomorrow there'll be sun!

Just thinking about Tomorrow,
clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow 'til there's none.

When I'm stuck with a day, that's gray, and lonely
I just stick out my chin and grin and say: Oh!

The sun'll come out Tomorrow,
So you got to hang on 'til Tomorrow.
Come what may!

Tomorrow, Tomorrow,
I love ya, Tomorrow,
you're only a day away.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow
I love ya, Tomorrow,
you're only a day away!

This next song below is another one of Kimmy's favorite songs to sing ~

Performed by Spice Girls

She used to be my only enemy and never let me be free,
Catching me in places that I know I shouldn't be,
Every other day I crossed the line,
I didn't mean to be so bad,
I never thought you would
become the friend I never had.

Back then I didn't know why,
why you were misunderstood,
So now I see through your eyes,
all that you did was love,
Mama I love you, Mama I care,
Mama I love you, Mama my friend,
My friend

I didn't want to hear it then but
I'm not ashamed to say it now,
Every little thing you said and did was right for me,
I had a lot of time to think about,
about the way I used to be,
Never had a sense of my responsibility.

Back then I didn't know why,
why you were misunderstood,
So now I see through your eyes,
all that you did was love,
Mama I love you, Mama I care,
Mama I love you, Mama my friend, My friend

But now I'm sure I know why,
why you were misunderstood,
So now I see through your eyes,
all I can give you is love,
Mama I love you, Mama I care,
Mama I love you, Mama my friend,
My friend

Mama I love you, Mama I care,
Mama I love you, Mama my friend,
You're my friend

In love in you,in love in me
and love is true,and guaranteed

Kimberly with Miranda, Desiree and Uncle Kenny.

Nature's first green is gold
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing Gold can stay.

Our Christmas Angels

Last Kiss
Written and Performed by J. Frank Wilson

Oh where oh where can my baby be
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world

We were out on a date in my daddy's car
We hadn't driven very far
There in the road straight up ahead
A car was stalled the engine was dead
I couldn't stop so I swerved to the right
I'll never forget the sound that night
The screaming tires the busting glass
The painful scream that I heard last

Oh where oh where can my baby be
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world

When I woke up the rain was pouring down
There were people standing all around
Somethign warm flowing through my eyes
But somehow I found my baby that night
I lifted her head she looked at me and said
Hold me darling just a little while
I held her close I kissed her our last kiss
I found the love that I knew I have missed
Well now she's gone even though I hold her tight
I lost my love my life that night

Oh where oh where can my baby be
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world

This song above was another one of Kimmy's favorites. There are just no words, it is all too sad.
Please remind everyone to buckle in all those children no matter how much they don't like it...

And thank you also to Pammi for so beautifully framing many of Kimmy's photos for this page!

Hugs From Heaven

When you feel a gentle breeze
Caress you when you sigh
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From a loved one way up high.

If a soft and tender raindrop
Lands upon your nose
They've added a small kiss
As fragile as a rose.

If a song you hear fills you
With a feeling of sweet love
It's a hug sent from Heaven
From someone special up above.

If you awaken in the morning
To a bluebird's chirping song
It's music sent from Heaven
To cheer you all day long.

If tiny little snowflakes
Land upon your face
It's a hug sent from Heaven
Trimmed with Angel lace.

So keep the joy in your heart
If you're lonely my dear friend
Hugs that are sent from Heaven
A broken heart will mend.

For Kimmy With Love
Ann, Laurasmom

For Kimmy, one of God's Sweetest Angels

I'm not so far away from you,
I still see all the things you do
I see the Face of God and Angels sing for me
In this my home of which you cannot even dream
Mommy I'm here, please dry your tears
How fast will fly those earthly years
I await the day that you will come to where I now reside
And only then will you see that our love has never died
It lives forever and will always be
The love we share my mommy and me

In Remembrance of Kimmy
From My Heart To Yours
Sharing your sorrow and your tears
Ann, Laurasmom

Kimmy's Mom
Your little angel was just the sweetest and most darling little girl. She is the exact image of my granddaughter
so this touched me very deeply. Her story was so tragic
and I made this gift with much compassion and love for this little girl
and I pray that you will find peace from God.
Sometimes I'm at such a loss for words because there really are none
that we can even say to each other.
May He always hold you in The Palms of His Hands
Ann, Laurasmom

Dear Patience

Mom I am your ANGEL
That now lives up above
Mom I haven't left you
Every day I send you my love

I know you can't see me
And that really hurts you
But I am with you every day
So please don't feel down and blue

One day we will all be together
But you must not keep asking
Just like me I had done my time
Only GOD knows
And in HIM you must believe
