About Kaiden...

On 5-21-17 I lost my 16 year old precious boy.... although I know he is with our father in Heaven, the heartache is unbearable most of the time, and it is a second by second struggle.... The little three little word "WHY" haunts me to the core because I don't know why my happy boy is gone! MY SON TOOK HIS OWN LIFE!!!! I do not know why, I never saw any signs, he was so happy, he loved God, football, duck hunting, fishing, his family, his girlfriend and friends! He always had a smile on his face and he was just an amazing young man but my child carried something on his shoulders that I had no idea about, I don't know why or what he was going through.

Kaiden was such a protector... he would keep things to himself so we wouldn't worry... I don't ever want another parent, brother, sister, family member, friend or anyone to feel this unbearable pain and the emptiness that I feel in my heart, so Kaiden's Warr;ors have been born! We are here to help, spread Kaiden's name out there and to let everyone know that IT IS OK NOT TO BE OK! There is help ... there's nothing to be ashamed of asking for help.. it doesn't make you weak, asking for help makes you strong!!! Never give up something as precious as your life! The valley maybe strong now, but it's temporary, death is not. I know this project won't bring my baby back, but I want his story out there, I want some good to come out of this tragedy. I would rather be in bed but i can't, Kaiden would want me to be strong, that's what I'm trying to do, and I'm praying we make a difference ! Thank you all and God Bless!

I'll Lend You A Child
by Edgar Guest

"I'll lend you for a little time a child of mine," He said.
For you to love - while he lives
And mourn for when he's dead.
It may be six or seven years
Or twenty-two or three,
But will you, till I call him back,
Take care or him for Me?
He'll bring his smiles to gladden you,
And should this stay be brief
You'll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay,
Since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.
I've looked this world over
In search for teachers true,
And from the throngs that crowd
Life's lanes, I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love,
Nor count the labor vain,
Nor hate Me when I come to call to
Take him back again?"
I fancied that I heard then say,
"Dear Lord, Thy will be done,
For all the joy Thy child shall bring,
The risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness,
We'll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we've known
Forever grateful stay.
But should the angels call for him
Much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand."

WE DO NOT NEED A SPECIAL DAY

We do not need a special day
To bring you to our minds.
The days we do not think of you
Are very hard to find.

Each morning when we awake,
We know that you are gone.
And no one knows the heart ache
As we try to carry on.

Our hearts still ache with sadness
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know.

Our thoughts are always with you,
Your place no one can fill.
In life we loved you dearly;
In death we love you still.

There will always be a heartache,
And often a silent tear.
But always a precious memory
Of the days when you were here.

If tears could make a staircase,
And heartaches make a lane,
We'd walk the path to heaven
And bring you home again.

We hold you close within our hearts;
And there you will remain,
To walk with us throughout our lives
Until we meet again.

Our family chain is broken now,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

Kaiden worried about everything... and I mean everything ... he worried about his future but was so excited about his future... he had his junior year of high school planned out, he was excited to start football practices this summer as he got ready to play as another year as a Redwater Dragon... These two verses were his go to verses when he was feeling overwhelmed ... Psalm 18:2 was his screensaver... I do not know the reason my boy isn't here with us today but I do without a doubt how much he loved and he trusted our Lord! I know Kaiden's chains are gone now and he is set free and happy now and in no more pain... our hearts hurt so much without him here with us, but I know one day all my questions will be answered when we are reunited! The point of this is ... we saw no signs, absolutely none.. he was happy and excited... he carried everything on his shoulders and down deep... he made us belief he was just fine, he was constantly smiling and playing around... Kaiden was such a strong young man, he wasn't weak by any means! Please parents, keep your eyes open! Never Assume!

We lost Kaiden to suicide on 5-21-17, he would have turned 17 on 9-9-17, National Suicide Prevention Day is September 10th... we wanted to combine these days and celebrate Kaiden's life as well as get the word out about suicide awareness. He was such a bright light and there were no signs that he held something so painful within himself. I don't want another parent, grandparent, sibling, friend to go through this pain! We have to rise up and fight this evil giant that we know as suicide! Kaiden's Warr;ors will be hosting this 1st annual event at the Redwater Sports Complex. We will have a butterfly release as well as a lantern release for Kaiden and for anyone that had ever lost anyone to suicide or if they are struggling themselves. If anyone would like to speak out about this epidemic you may do so. It's going to be a great, fun and very emotional day, thank you all for your support!

This is Kaiden and Mom on their last Christmas together.

This was a couple of weeks before we lost Kaiden... they were playing around in the living room pretending to be my models...
Kaiden wanted to do this picture but little brother Koleson wasn't so sure... precious heartbreaking memories...

Warrior by Abandon

Let's take this giant down
'Cause my heart is like, like a warrior
No one can stop us now
We were born to rise, like a warrior
We are, we are, we are
Like a warrior, like a warrior
We are, we are, we are
Like a warrior, a warrior

I'm done with hot in here
On the sidelines controlled by my fear
'Cause now I realize
That my faith comes from more than my eyes
We're caught in the middle
Of a fight we can't ignore
Let go of your armor
'Cause inside's a warrior

Let's take this giant down
'Cause my heart is like, like a warrior
No one can stop us now
We were born to rise like a warrior
We are, we are, we are
Like a warrior, like a warrior
We are, we are, we are
Like a warrior, a warrior

Push back all the battlelines
Even in our mines
'Cause you know that this is the time
We're strong because of love
More than conquerers
'Cause the battle is already won
We're caught in the middle
Of a fight we can't ignore
Let go of your armor
'Cause inside's a warrior

Let's take this giant down
'Cause my heart is like, like a warrior
No one can stop us now
We were born to rise, like a warrior
We are, we are, we are
Like a warrior, like a warrior
We are, we are, we are
Like a warrior, a warrior
ooooooooooooooooh...

It's faith that makes us strong
The battle's already won
Your love, your will be done
The battle's already won
It's already won

Let's take this giant down
'Cause my heart is like, like a warrior
No one can stop us now
We were born to rise, like a warrior
We are, we are, we are
Like a warrior, like a warrior
We are, we are, we are
Like a warrior, a warrior
