In Loving Memory of
Jason Everett Booden
March 24, 2000 - December 11, 2002

Our son Jason was born in Modesto, CA, and passed in Scottsdale, AZ. He was only 2-1/2 when he passed.

Jason was a big fan of Elmo I guess you can say his favorite color was red. At his service we played Rock A By Your Bear
by the Wiggles, he loved that song. I also like I Believe by Diamond Rio, which is the song we have playing on this page for Jason.

These two graphics above are beautiful and loving gifts for Angel Jason from my dear friend, Carol, mom to Angel Michael.

These are two special gifts to Angel Jason from my friend Marie.

Jason was my first son, we were very close. Jason was born at Doctor's Medical Center in Modesto, CA. Jason got his middle name Everett from my grandpa who was ever so important to me. He was the greatest man ever and I wanted my son to be blessed with his name also. Like my grandpa he was a wonderful person. Jason loved his baby sister Jessica ever much. I guess you can say his best friend in crime was our dog Molly. They were always getting into trouble together.

Jason drowned in December in his family's backyard pool after he unlocked a door, slipped outside
and fell into the water. Jason had just learned to turn a lock.

I'm a stay-at-home mom. I always kept the doors locked. The doors were locked that day, too. Jason was in a back room
when I went to check on the baby. When I came back, I saw a sliding glass door open and looked to the pool.

I saw something in the pool. My first thought was it was a blanket, but I knew we didn't own a blanket with those colors on it. My heart broke into a million pieces. I can't even hold back my tears right now. It's so hard facing that day. To look at your baby,
no matter what age, and know the life that once was there is now gone kills something inside of you. Nothing else matters anymore.

Jason was in a locked house. Kids are quick and quiet when they are up to something. Never let your guard down.
I hope hearing our story makes you love your children more and never lose sight of them even for a second.
Nothing matters as much as our children.

These lines below were written on a piece of paper picked up on a battlefield
during the Normandy invasion in World War 11.

They say you will not come again,
But I shall always hear
Your voice in silence and in song,
And feel you ever near.

They say you have passed beyond,
Unto the joy supreme.
But I can always call you back
Into the land of dream.

For death is but a gateway
To the great reality,
A new beginning, not an end
Of human destiny.

For love is all, and life goes on
In spite of grief and pain,
And deep within my heart I know
That we shall meet again.

My love for you is not written on paper,
For paper can be erased.
Nor is my love for you etched in stone,
For stone can be broken.
But my love for you is inscribed in my heart,
Where it shall remain forever
~ Author unknown

Dearest Mommy,

When you wonder the meaning of life and love
Know that I am with you
Close your eyes and feel me kissing you
in the gentle breeze across your cheek

When you begin to doubt that you shall ever see me again
Quiet your mind and hear me
I am in the whisper of the heavens
Speaking of your love

When you lose your identity
When you question who you are
where you are going
Open your heart and see me
I am the twinkle in the stars smiling down upon you
Lighting the path for your journey

When you awaken each morning
Not remembering your dreams
But feeling content and serene
Know that I was with you
Filling your night with thoughts of me

When you linger in the remnant pain
Wholeness seeming so unfamiliar
Think of me
Know that I am with you
Touching you thru the shared tears of a gentle friend
Easing the pain

As the sunrise illuminates the desert sky
In that breathtaking brilliance, awaken your spirit
Think of our time together, all too brief, but ever brilliant
When you were certain of us, together
When you were certain of your destiny

Know that God created that moment in time,
Just for us
I am with you always.

Loving you always,
Your child

To Georgia and ANGEL Jason

Mom, Dad I must tell you something
Where I live now, it is like Seseme St
Just not with puppets, but ANGEL'S
I can't wait for you to meet

I have met so many ANGEL'S
The older ones have taught me to shave
Just like we did in the bathroom Dad
Now I feel so brave

GOD let me feed a baby
Just like I did with you
Oh Jessica my lil sis
How I miss you too

Just know you guys
I am not far away
I won't forget you
We will all be together one day
