In Loving Memory of
Eric LaPointe
September 10, 1985 - November 19, 2003

This birthday gift for Eric is from my friend Janet.

Here is a gift for angel Eric. Hugs, Judi, mom to Angel Andrew.

This is Eric's Tragic Story

On the evening of November 19th 2003, in Ontario Canada, Eric LaPointe was walking home, he had to cross
the highway to get there. While negotiating the concrete barrier that separates the North and Southbound Lanes of the Highway,
Eric tripped and fell. When he tripped, he hit his head on the pavement, knocking him out. A driver, driving in the passing lane,
for only God knows why, (As traffic is very light at this time of year) thought Eric was a pile of clothing on the road,
and ran over him at 100 km.
Eric died instantly from massive head trauma.
His death accured November 19th 2003 at 6:50 PM.

Eric is survived by his Identical Twin Brother Christopher
Mother Diane, Father Robert
Brothers: Michael, Bryan, and Sean

Eric with his twin brother Christopher.

EE Now I Walk Alone

Together since the beginning,
We were always a pair,
Sharing so many memories,
I thought you would always be there,
And now I walk alone.

Being your twin was awesome,
Not many could tell us apart,
But all that's left is a tattoo,
Your name...and half of a heart,
And now I walk alone.

I have to learn a new kind of life,
One that doesn't include you,
To me, it seems impossible,
I wonder what I should do,
And now I walk alone.

Someday they say I'll recover,
Start my life anew,
But I'll never forget you Eric,
Because part of me died with you,
And now I walk alone.

Letter From Heaven

I'm writing this from heaven, here I dwell with God above.
Here there is no more tears or sadness, just eternal love.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said "I welcome you,"
"It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone,
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on."

God gave me a list of things that He wished for me to do,
And foremost on that list was to watch and care for you.
I will be beside you every day, and week, and year,
And when your sad I'm standing there to wipe away each tear.

And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth and all those loving years,
Because you're only human, they're bound to bring you tears,
But do not be afraid to cry, it does relieve the pain,
Remember there would be no flowers unless there was some rain.

And to my friends, trust God knows what is best,
I'm still not very far away from you, I'm just beyond the crest,
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind,
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when you feel a gentle breeze or the wind upon your face,
That's me giving you a great big hug or just a soft embrace.
And when it's time for you to go from that body to be free,
Remember you're not going, you're coming home to me.

And I will always love you from that land way up above,
We'll be in touch again someday,

Eric in the neonatal ICU.

Christopher in the neonatal ICU.

The Broken Chain

We did not know that morning that God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly, in death the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone,
for part of us went with you the day God called you home
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same,
but as GOD calls us one by one, the CHAIN will link again.

Please Remember Me

Please remember me
Not with sorrow but in happiness
Please remember me for who I am
Not who I was
Remember me for the love we shared
And all the memories we made together
Remember me, for I am with you always
I'm always as close as your heart

Eric and Christopher, December 2003.

Eric and Christopher with their father, Robert, and their brother, Bryan.

We thought of you with love today,
but that was nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence,
We often speak your name.
Now all we have are memories,
And a picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we will never part.
God has you in His keeping,
We have you in our hearts

Dear Diane and ANGEL Eric

Day by Day keep going by
But you are always still here
In my Thoughts, Heart and Mind
I will forever keep you near

Remember I haven't left, Mom
I am just away for a while
Until we are together again
It is then I will see your smile

If you look way way up, open your heart
It could be me sitting on a cloud flying
I want to see you happy and wave at me
But please don't let me see you crying
